LPO For Sale

I will quite often get asked by the people I chat to that are considering buying an LPO: “How do I find a Post Office for sale?”.

Post Offices are sold predominately by business brokers, however, it is not uncommon that you could buy the LPO direct from the current owner.

Business brokers can be segmented into those who specialise in Post Offices, and those who don’t. Business brokers generally advertise their listings on either the internet or in the newspaper.

Every newspaper has a day which is geared for businesses for sale. For example, in South Australia, businesses for sale are predominately advertised on Tuesday where The Advertiser newspaper has a special lift out dedicated to businesses for sale.
