I was asked the following question the other day “How do I find a Post Office for sale?”.

Post Offices are sold predominately by business brokers, however, it is not uncommon that you buy the LPO direct from the current owner.

Business brokers can be segmented into those who specialise in Post Offices and those who don’t. Business brokers generally advertise their listings on either the internet or in the newspaper.

Every newspaper has a day which is geared for businesses for sale. For example, in South Australia, businesses for sale are predominately advertised on Tuesday where it has a special lift out section just for businesses for sale.

The website of a few specialist LPO brokers are as follows:-

www.marlowco.com.au
www.wollermann.com.au
www.postofficerealty.com.au
www.ngbb.com.au
www.businessinterests.com.au
www.premierbusiness.com.au (Speak to Chris & Phil and let them know you found them from this site.)
www.postofficebrokers.com.au
www.tarshay.com.au
www.bettarealestate.com.au (These guys do a few LPOs, wouldn’t consider them to be “specialist LPO brokers” but they do a pretty good job in the Carins, QLD region)

Some of the other LPO brokers who don’t have websites but do sell a lot of LPOs are

Wayne Rose (08) 8534 4138, 0427 001 895 (SA LPOs)

Terry Ashcroft (02) 97183137 (NSW LPOs)
